Dr. Paul Imbach Attends Darien Sport Shop ITPMAN Triathlon |
Darien/Rowayton, CT - The ITP Foundation is excited to announce that world-renowned hematologist Dr. Paul Imbach of UniversityChildren's Hospital, Basel, Switzerland, attended and answered questions at the ITP Foundation's 4th Annual Darien Sport Shop ITPMAN Triathlon, on Saturday, September 27 at Weed Beach Park in Darien, CT.
Dr. Imbach, one of the worlds' leading authorities on ITP (immune thrombocytopenic purpura), was available to speak with any who had questions about ITP, its treatment and related issues. A professor in Pediatrics and Extraordinarius of Pediatric Oncology/Hematology Medical Faculty at the University of Basel and Chairman of the Intercontinental Childhood ITP Study Group ICIS, Dr. Imbach has a breadth of knowledge concerning ITP that is unchallenged. He was the first to discover intravenuous immunoglobulin(IVIG) treatment in ITP, which is now benefial in many other chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
Dr. Imbach provided an excellent opportunity for anyone who wished to learn more about ITP to get answers from an acknowledged expert. The ITP Foundation is humbled to have had him a part of the ITPMAN.
