Daily dealings with my new best friend, ITP

For many ITP patients, symptoms present themselves suddenly--out of nowhere, for no apparent reason. Recently diagnosed 24-year-old, Kinsey Cogburn, was no exception. Unsettled by the small number of accessible, relatable resources for this rare disorder after her diagnosis, she and her loved ones found themselves scared and uncertain about this disorder and what the future might hold.

In her blog "Hemadrama: The Young, Fabulous and Plateletless," Kinsey’s experience is chronicled from the onset; from development of initial symptoms, to testing/diagnosis, to treatment.

 Through this website, she hopes to provide a source of comfort for ITP patients who find themselves in similar situations; establishing a balance of helpful information and support, while providing a dose of humor in the meantime.

Kinsey currently resides in Houston, Texas. When she’s not working or writing, she spends most of her time having her blood drawn and avoiding bumping into things ...and hanging out with her amazing boyfriend and friends, keeping up with her family, and enjoying life with newfound perspective. 

The ITP Foundation finds Kinsey's method of detailing her experience with ITP in a humorous and engaging fashion to be nothing short of inspiring, and the public is strongly encouraged to check it out and leave comments and encouragement.
